1 Power On the Camera

Plug in your camera. When the indicator light turns solid or flashes slowly, the device is ready to connect.

2 Enable Your Phone Hotspot

Your camera uses your phone’s hotspot — not your home Wi‑Fi.

🤖 Android: Settings → Hotspot & Tethering → Mobile Hotspot → ON → set band to 2.4 GHz
🍎 iPhone: Settings → Personal Hotspot → Allow Others to Join ON

3 Automatic Setup

Once your hotspot is active the camera connects automatically, RTSP streams are prepared, diagnostics run, and the connection is finalised. Your checklist below updates in real time.

Install SriHome on your phone to pair the camera with your hotspot using Smart Config. After the first setup, desktop users can watch the stream in VLC without the app.
