Setup Guide
Everything you need to get your no-WiFi camera live in under 60 seconds.
What You Need
📦 Hardware
- A compatible IP camera (see compatible models below)
- Any smartphone with a mobile data plan
- Camera power source (adapter or battery pack)
☁️ Accounts
- A Google account (free 15 GB included)
- Google Drive app authorized for camera access
- Mobile data plan with hotspot enabled
Step-by-Step Setup
Step 1 — Enable Mobile Hotspot
On your smartphone, go to Settings → Personal Hotspot (iPhone) or Settings → Hotspot & Tethering (Android). Turn it on and note the network name and password.
Step 2 — Connect Camera to Hotspot
Power on your camera. Using the camera’s companion app, select your hotspot network and enter the password. The camera will connect automatically within 30 seconds.
Step 3 — Authorize Google Drive
In the camera app, go to Storage → Cloud → Google Drive. Tap Authorize and sign in to your Google account. Grant permission to save files — this is a one-time step.
Step 4 — Configure Recording Settings
Choose between continuous recording or motion-triggered recording. Motion-triggered is recommended — it saves data and keeps your Google Drive organized. Set video quality to 1080p for best clarity.
Step 5 — Test & Verify
Wave in front of the camera to trigger a recording. Open Google Drive on any device — you should see a new folder with your camera’s footage within 60 seconds. You’re live.
